We had no chance to sample the food as they informed us there was a 20 minute wait on a Saturday night. Normally, that would not bother my family. However, the place was half empty inside and out on patio. Wait? Really? They did nothing to keep us there either with any kind of welcoming attitude. We have a summer home here, but we will not return or advise anyone else to try it. Reading other reviews - it sounds like others have had this same sad treatment. Too bad.

Great place and wonderful atmosphere. Our meal was great and we weren't rushed. Can't wait to go back in the summer.

Since we still haven't received our food, I figured I'd write a review about how long we've been waiting. We ordered sandwiches - not exactly difficult to prepare. No complimentary bread or anything and in 45 minutes the server has seen us once. Not to mention this used to be biker friendly ( now they are bourgeois and seem to shun you if you come in off a bike ). Seen at least 10 people leave after they gave up waiting. Just because you have a view of Lake Geneva (which isn't all that impressive) doesn't mean you can provide sh*t service.

Our server was pleasant, the food was delicious, and the view of the lake with my glass of wine was delightful. Will be sure to come back. Also interested to try their martini lounge upstairs...

BRUTAL. service was ok. The food was absolutely horrible.

Beautiful view of the lake. We went before sunset and it was stunning. Besides the view, the best part about the restaurant was our waiter, Nick. Although the food is good, it's just that, good, not great. Even so, I would recommend the place and we will come back when in Lake Geneva. Ask for Nick if it's the summer time.

Was there with a group, and place was previously advised that we'll be there... 15-20 minute wait for the drinks. Food was brought out at different time for table of 6. 2 of got our food well the first person was done eating. 1 of our food orders was wrong. Next table as well, and I think other tables had problems too. Food wasn't bad, but not great. I've never seen paninis on really thick (very lightly grilled) sub-sandwich bread. The paninis were pretty dry too. So, by the time most of our group was done eating, drinking & socializing, and most of us started leaving, only then the last of out tables got their food! I think they tried to make things right with some of the tables, I saw manager come out talk to them.... maybe free food or-what-not, but still I don't think I'll be going back to this place.

I was nervous to visit this place after reading some reviews. So glad I gave it a try! I guess negative people mainly take the time to write a reviews, so I wanted to take the time to write this place a good review. First of all they have a great view of the Lake and a wonderful deck for outside dinning. We found the service was great! Yes it was a little slow, but guess what? Im on a deck outside, viewing the lake with a great cocktail in my hand! I didnt care if service was slow! Because they are on the Lake they can get busy at any given moment. People should be realistic. My food was served hot and well prepared. I had the Chicken Marsala and it was delishious. My husband had the Whitefish and loved it. We sat next to a group of 4 and they ordered the fish from their Friday night fish fry and they loved it. The bartender also did a great job and I had some drink specials that were amazing! I would defintiely recommend this place if your in the Lake Geneva area!

Pannini sandwich on a wonder bread hot dog roll, need I say more....terrible from the food to the wait staff. Won't survive the summer....too bad, such a great location

First I'd like to say is that the food was awesome. We had the rolled beef dish and the veal over pasta. Both were well prepared. Now the cons, our waiter was unprepared, had little knowledge of food and wine. There was no table settings. The table was rocking back and forth. The food was presented too quickly for my taste. But that's just personal choice.

Looks good from the outside, looks nice on the inside!... That's where anything good about the place ends. Service was the worst part! We were seated at a table that had not been cleaned,Food took a very long time to come out (around an hour) and when it did the sides were cold. The waiter could have cared less about us. ( He was worried about his tip after i said something to the managment, only after i said i would pay for the drinks and was leaving did the waiter rember we were their! We were not the only ones having problems the table next to us had to have their food delivered in to go boxes, they waited even longer for their food than we did. I Never will I go back, you have been warned go their at your own risk for sure.

Nice place so stop for a drink just outside of the crazy, busy downtown area! They have indoor seating as well as an outdoor deck with a great view of the lake. We just had an appetizer and cocktails, food was just okay but the martini was perfect & I'm a pretty big drink critic. I was expecting fresh bread and olive oil with parmesean but it didn't come.... so I asked the server and was told that it usually only served with the dinner service (it was 3pm) which I think is silly but kudos to the waiter who made us up some fresh, of so yummy, bread for us anyway!

I have never been one for Yelp Reviews. I sometimes find them petty, full of people complaining over trivial things. But tonight was such an experience that it drove me to create a Yelp account. There were several red flags that should have tipped us off. The lower reviews, the empty parking lot, the strange decor. The whole thing reminded me of an episode of Kitchen Nightmares. We were both a fan of Italian food and figured how bad could it be? We found out exactly how bad it could be. I had what was referred to as Pollo Marsala, but should have been called Fillet of Rubber Chicken with Salt. The chicken was like eating a shoe that had been soaking in the ocean, it was so chewy and salty. The Marsala sauce tasted like a beef Ramen packet, only with triple the sodium. My husband had the chicken Alfredo, which was better described as butter noodles with salt. Sensing a theme here? The highlight of dinner tonight was our waitress. Friendly and attentive, it seemed as though she was trying to will the food to taste better. Her skills would be much better utilized by a place that serves actually edible food. In closing, I have to honestly say this was the worst restaurant food I have ever eaten. Not only will we never return here, but I felt it was my civic duty to warn any other visitors of Lake Geneva to steer clear, as well.

Bad, bad, bad!!! Planned a dinner for 19 people 1 week in advanced asking for a family style pre-set menu. Was told they'd call me back to arrange the menu because they were busy, but they did take the reservation. They did not call and I forgot about it....in the middle of planning my wife's surprise 40th bday weekend in Lake Geneva and coordinating 20+ people. Day 1 of surprise bday weekend comes and dinner was supposed to be a dress up, sort of classier, affair at Corleone's. My wife and I rush to Corleone's to beat the group (we were driving from an incredible B&B in Delavan). We get to the restaurant, they weren't too terribly busy, so I asked the hostess if she can take our full order and give it to the kitchen to meter out as they saw fit. We were here to eat heartily and drink merrily. I don't know what bumpkin town she was from, but the request would not compute. After multiple tries to explain to her what I wanted to do, I gave up and asked for a waiter right away. Waiter took 10 minutes to get to us....again, seeing that it was 8pm (with 8:30pm reservations), the restaurant was not busy. Our tables were already put together on the deck. Quickly put an order in for 7 appetizers, and 7 entrees. Assuming I asked for family style multiple times and it being an Italian restaurant, the portions would be "Italian style" in size. Just in case, I asked our waiter if this was going to be enough food. He says 'yes'. I also request that apps come together. Guests start arriving, drinks begin to get ordered. Appetizers start being delivered one at a time before the table is fully seated and before 8:30...our original reservation time. You don't have to be in the restaurant industry to realize that if apps come one at a time, that each plate will be emptied before getting to every guest.... so while 1/3 of the people have food in front of them, the other 2/3s are watching the first third. They did this app plate after app plate. We ordered two pizzas included in our app list, those came out together thankfully. Obviously we ran short on apps, so I ordered a couple of extra bruschetta and fried calamari plates for the guests that got to enjoy watching others eat them. This threw the waiter off as well as the kitchen. He remarked that our table was 'full of chaos'.... all the while our first round of drinks hadn't been fully served....30 minutes into service. Oh, and we didn't have water at the table.... nor had any bread and oil been served (more on that later). Wife and I pleasantly shared one glass of water during our dinner service. Dinner came.... again, not all at once. I quickly realized we were going to fall short of food for dinner as well. Attempted to order another 4 entrées.... 20 minutes later, waiter comes back to apologize and tell me that the kitchen was closed. ....and we were waiting for second round of drinks to be served. Line manager comes out to speak to my sister in law and me.... and as she does, bread and oil are served to the guests AFTER entrées are being finished. (What part of Italy do they do that in?). She is of no help.... asked why waiter didn't tell us that we didn't order enough food up front, her response, he's not suppose to know that. Pressed further, she offers up a "We in the kitchen found it odd that only 7 entrées were ordered". We asked why she didn't bother to get that brought to our attention either directly by her or our waiter, she fumbled for an answer. She asked why we took a reservation so late seeing that the kitchen closes at 9, I responded with, "...I took the reservation time that was offered AND was never informed what time the kitchen closes." I asked, "Please look at our table.... why is bread just now being served?". Her response, "Oh that doesn't typically happen." Nothing was the fault of the restaurant from her perspective, no apologies until we spoke with restaurant manager. He was the only understanding person at that restaurant.... unfortunately, his hands were tied. My guests left hungry (again.... where in Italy, hell, any Italian restaurant do they do that at? In 40 years of life, I cannot recall ever leaving hungry from an Italian table, EVER). Only positive I can muster up for my experience, I had budgeted about $2000 for dinner, drinks, dessert for Friday's dinner.... they got me for just under $500; still feel that I got ripped off, though. ***Names removed***. Willing to bet the restaurant reported my review so that it would get removed. Well, Yelp removed it citing their guidelines, I'm assuming that my review violated "Privacy" guideline for naming the manager and server. Thankfully, my review was able to be copy and pasted. I'd wish Corleone's would care as much about their service and customer satisfaction as they do with what gets posted about them on Yelp.

We ate on the patio with a great view. The bread smelled just like my Nani's bread - and my family said it was tasty as well. They weren't as many gluten free options as I initially thought - there were missing spaces on the menu between the gf options (4) and the eggplant, the waiter said a lot of people make that mistake. The dirty Sicilian martini was excellent! Who would think to put olive oil in a martini? The Frangelico chocolate martini good also - the waiter didn't know it was named "Frangelico...." My chicken marsala was OK, not a fan but not too many gf options and the waiter recommended it. My husband had planned on having fish - not on the menu, I believe Sicilians eat a lot of fish, no? He liked his clam linguini.

There was 4 of us and 2 more coming later. The manager would not let us use 2 groupons because we knew each other (not sitting at the same table), but then finally relented. The salad was made table side and was delicious. The bread was also very good. None of our 4 entrees were good at all. Their red sauce is orange, not red and tasted exactly like chef boyardee spaghettio sauce. The eggplant was inedible. They were also out of riesling wine. The waitress and bussers were great.

The food was decent but the service (and the lack of it) was utterly horrible. You have have to ask for water and you're lucky if you will ever get that water. The waiter announces your meal comes with a side salad..."oh I forgot to bring it out so you'll get it after your entree..." I don't think we'll be giving this place another try. It's too bad too because they have a good view of the lake.

If there were a minus scale, I would use it as this place does not even deserve 1 star. The food is just ok, the staff is rude and have no idea about the menu items that they serve. They actually act bothered when you make special requests. I asked the waiter the difference between their squid and their calamari and was told "This octopus is the one with the tentacles" !!!! I went there last week on a Sunday and it took almost an hour to get a salad and my tentacles (grilled octopus), which was soft and rubbery and looked like a plate of dead worms) The drinks were never refilled and when asking for more salad dressing it took 20 minutes then they brought the wrong kind! The girl that brought it said "don't blame me, I'm not your waiter" I have to say there were only about 10 diners there so I would hate to see if they ever get busy which I highly doubt will ever happen. Today I went back against all common sense as the only thing they have going is a scenic view of the lake and alfresco dining. I tried to order the same thing as I did just last week. First the waiter had no idea about the salad dressing, it is a lemon garlic infused olive oil. He had to go to his manager two times to see if they even had it available which they both finally realized was readily available. I was then told the octopus was not available for lunch and only available in a panini, I told him I just had it last Sunday and he rudely responded "you must have been here after 4 then" I was the at 12:15 and had no problem ordering it. He snapped something under his breath and left again. I had enough so I got up and walked out. On the way Out I saw him laughing with another guy at the bar looking at a menu. Like I said the mediocre over priced food does not compensate for the rude staff and the time it takes to deliver your meal. I highly doubt they will be around unless they really change the culture of their business. I went down the road to Popeye's and had a 5 star meal with a very responsive charming waitress with the same lake view. I was in and out in 45 minutes

I went to Corleone's last night for a bachelorette party. We made reservations for 8pm and got there on time. We waited at the bar for 40 minutes until we were seated. When we told the hostess we had been waiting for so long her response wasn't "I'm sorry"... She said "well it's Saturday night, we're busy." This was just the beginning of our poor service. The waiter was not attentive and got orders wrong. Not to mention we didn't get our food until 10. The only reason I'm pitting 2 stars is because the food was decent and the bartender was great. I wouldn't recommend this place for large parties. They won't split checks and don't have a ton of room for more than one large party.

Food was good, we over ate because we didn't want to stop eating. The lake view on the patio really made it awesome! Wish they would have had some citronella candles or something though because once the sun went down, it was time to go. Really enjoyed our time though. Our server Ian was spectacular!

I really wanted to like this place. I really did. I read some of the bad reviews but still decided to give it a shot. I went in with a completely open mindset hoping for some great food. I think it's safe to say that they're definitely a restaurant struggling to survive. Their hours are different from what's posted on the website and we were the only people in the restaurant a good part of the time on a Thursday evening. Their service was pretty good. However, unfortunately, (echoing what people have mentioned below) the food does leave a lot to be desired for the price point. Most appetizers and entrées have a starting price of around $15. For this price, you would expect some outstanding flavors. Unfortunately, this is not the case. The calamari appetizer while fresh, was very tasteless. My chicken entrée was fried and tasted like something you would find at a diner. Their signature sauce is not much better than any name brand out of a can. The only redeeming factor was their incredible bisque. All in all, at the end of the night our $50 bill (two of us) was not worth it. We could've easily gone to Italian Village in Chicago and paid less for better food with flavor. Sorry Carleone; we really wanted to like it...but it's just not there.

I am seriously shocked by all the mostly negative reviews of this restaurant. I personally think they are unfair. We have been to Corleone twice, and would go there more often, but we live in the Chicago area so we've only gone during our last couple of LG visits. First of all, the food is incredible and and fairly priced which makes it even better! I'm not sure which server they are talking about that is so bad, but in our 2 visits (lunch and dinner), we've had nothing but helpful and courteous waitstaff. The one thing they could improve on though is the wine list hence the 4 stars. I believe they only have Italian wines, and I do understand it's a Sicilian restaurant, but what's the harm adding some others like California wine perhaps? And let's not forget the view! I can't wait for warmer months so we can sit outside the deck. I hope this restaurant survives as this particular establishment has been through 3 or 4 owners in the last 10 years? I encourage you to give this place a try because trust me, you won't be disappointed. Enjoy!

OK, my fiancé and I had dinner here on Saturday nite ... about 7 PM. The restaurant was less than half-full and it stayed that way for the next hour. Decor is OK, but just another iteration of the restaurants that have previously occupied this space. We had two entrees and no appetizers, with house red wines. The house salad was good. The spedini was well made, but served on a rather barren white plate, with a small bowl of steamed broccoli and butter on the same plate. The sirloin marsala was a nicely prepared piece of meat in a marsala flavored broth with button mushrooms, with a side of plain spaghetti and a surprising good tomato sauce. Both had good flavor, but the presentation was absolutely miserable. Just sort of dumped on a white plate, with absolutely no sense of style. Although the food was good, albeit overpriced, the overall experience was just 'boring,' as if the restaurateur had no real idea how to run a restaurant or to make it an interesting experience. I have had more enjoyable meals in local diners, and spent a LOT less money. We will not put this restaurant on our 'regular' list. But the food wasn't bad ....

There are much better places to eat. Food - Hit and Miss Kids had Alfredo mac n cheese - pretty good! I had the Corleone pizza - also pretty good! Husband had Chicken Saltimbocca - not so good, it definitely wasn't Saltimbocca. Friend had some pasta dish with a cream sauce but it was all oil. Inedible and sent it back. Cons: Service - Ugh, where do I begin? I didn't have my butt in my seat yet (seriously) and the waitress was there wanting to know what I wanted to drink. I asked her to give me a moment to look over the drink menu, which had some really nice sounding drinks (a bunch with Limoncello) but she came back so fast again that I just ended up ordering a beer. Oh well. My pizza came out about 5-7 minutes before everyone else's food. However, I didn't get a plate until 5-7 minutes after everyone got their food. But at least she kept telling me that she forgot my plate, lol! Forgot the side dishes Forgot the milk for the kids Had to ask for silverware When my friend told the waitress that her pasta dish is all oil, the waitress said "yea, the kitchen is really busy and that happens sometimes" and walked away. We had to call her back to bring it back to the kitchen. My favorite - I got up to go to the restroom and opened the door to go inside the restaurant since we were sitting outside and I I got stuck holding the door for all the servers - every time I tried to walk in another one would walk through the door and not let me in. I finally just let the damn door go or I'd be stuck there all night! Same thing as I was walking to the bathroom - they usually stop and let you pass. Not here, you have to wait for them. And no, it wasn't that busy and they weren't hurrying - they just have a palpable disdain for the vacationers.

Ugh. No wonder the tables were empty when we arrived on a FRIDAY night. We have a home in Lake Geneva and are there from Chicago several times a summer. I invited friends in town and we decided to use a groupon a friend had found for Corleone. I have never been treated so poorly because of a Groupon in my life. The manager/owner? made the comment to our table that because of the Groupon, he was not going to make any money off our table. Are you kidding me? We were all set for a night of drinks and dinner, but after that we ate and quickly left. Why sign up for a Groupon and then treat people that way? Anyway, as for food, blah. It was really bad and not just saying that because the owner was a jerk. He has never owned a restaurant before that's for sure, food was horrible and his glares and unpleasantries while we were there made things very uncomfortable. He should realize, you never know who serving...

The view is stunning but that is where the excitement ends. Service makes a restaurant and our server whom never told us her name, was clumsy, uninformed and non-exisistant. Tried 2 of their featured cocktails and they were uninspired. Ordered the calamari and it was decent, but nothing special. Will not return. Having dinner at the Baker house and is so much better!

If I could give less than 1 star I would. This is definitely a case where I wish Yelps scale went negative because that would better reflect my experience at Corleones. I was excited to try this restaurant because I live in Lake Geneva and always support local businesses. However, after the way I was treated it is evident that the proprietor here does not understand not care about customers or customer service. We had a 7 o'clock reservation and were running a few minutes late so I called to inform the person there and I was told that they would not be able to accommodate us in any way. So I explained that we would come later or whatever we just wanted to celebrate our anniversary. At this point the person on the phone who identifies himself as the began to yell at me and tell him that I was "wasting his fricking time". He then hung up on me. Needless to say I will NEVER be able to tell you how the food is because I will never go to this resturaunt. If you do not care how you are treated and want to support someone who obviously does not get how to treat people, this is your place! The owner obviously thinks that the vacation crowd will support him. It will be no surprise when he has to close up shop because the word will quickly get out that he does not care about his patrons not does he understand how to create a loyal following that support Lake Geneva businesses through the long winter months.

Ordered a fish dish, it was not edible.. Way over salted, no one bothered to apologize after seeing my plate of food that was barely touched. Pasta dishes were ok. I enjoyed the house chianti. I will not be back. Too bad, great location

We have been here on 2 occasions. On our first trip the food was just average. I had the Chicken Cacciatore and my wife had a Pollo Picatta. The entrees came with a salad and a delicious warm baked bread, both were outstanding ! The entrees we felt lacked that real italian flavor that your looking for so I would rate those dishes as good but not great. Our second trip we dined outside on the deck and ordered a house salad for two along with a Pizza. Both were outstanding ! The Pizza was done to perfection. The view on the deck is the best in all of Lake Geneva. The service here is top notch. Prices are reasonable. Since this is a new restaurant it takes time to get things right. Every restaurant has hit or miss items on their menu. We will be going back again and again for the salad and the pizza.

  • George L.

The food here was great. The pricing was pretty good, considering most places in the Geneva Lake area like to over-inflate their pricing. The service was pretty slow but it's to be expected by such a new restaurant. The location has one of the best views of the lake, but nothing seems like it can survive there. Hopefully this one sticks.

We went to this restaurant expecting a great meal. We were a party of four and were told by the hostess that there were no tables available, and that there would be a wait. One of our party related that they could see an empty table. Once that was pointed to our hostess, she looked a little embarrassed. Once we were seated, we sat twenty minutes without anyone taking at least our drink order! We then seen our hostess seating guest at a table next to ours. We asked her if anyone was working our table. She apologized, and said she'll find our sever. Another fifteen minutes go by, and then the hostess comes and say's she will be our waitress. We gave our drink order, and in fear of seeing her again, we placed our appetizer order too. We got our drinks and waited for our appetizers. By this time we noticed busboys waiting on tables, and no one ever came back to our table to refresh our drinks. At this we only saw one waitress on the floor not waiting on anyone and the the busboys working. That's when decided to leave, still hungry. As we were leaving we noticed the people that were seated next to our table getting irritated because they did not have any service. The restaurant has BAD SERVICE AND IS UNORGANIZED! Plus their appetizers were nothing special.

The best thing about this place is the view of Lake Geneva, and sadly it's about the only thing! Service was terrible at first, and I say at first since the waiter was so incompetent and slow that we final talked to a manager and she replaced him with a wonderful waitress. The original waiter couldn't even manager to get the initial order of drinks, an ice tea, and a beer with a side of water right! He also never submitted our appetizer so we waited a half hour for the appetizer wondering where it was, but unable to ask since our waiter never reappeared even though the place was empty! Finally when he returned with pizza we ordered, we ask where our appetizer was and he said he never submitted it. Even though he read our order back to us after taking it so we knew that he had written it down. He apologized and offered to submit the order and when we declined, he then mentioned that he would comp our pizza for the inconvenience. After more incompetent service we finally spoke to the manager and as I mentioned above and he was replaced with a wonderful waitress that knew what she was doing. All was finally fine until the bill came with NO compensation on it what so ever! When we told the waitress what the waiter had said about the comp of the pizza she said she would speak to one of the owners. The owner then came out and in an accusatory and bullying manner demanded to know why were were demanding our pizza to be comped! I was now afraid to speak, fearful of the man, his tone was so unprofessional and mean, I managed to explained that it wasn't OUR idea to "demand" the comp, but the waiters who said it would be comped. After our explanation of the poor service and the missed appetizer he huffed away without even an apology regarding any of it. The compensation turned out not to be the pizza, but 15% off the bill which was fine with us at that point, since we were at anxious to leave and never look back. Don't worry about this place foks, no restaurants stay in this place for more than a year or so, and will probably close over the winter. Which is too bad, since the pizza was decent.

Corleone, a Sicilian Restaurant. I've been three times now across the seasons and am glad that the year round locals are helping keep this place in business. Despite reports of rocky service at the beginning - at the peak of high season - there are a lot of great things about this restaurant. There is a fantastic deck great for cocktails and live music in the summer. You can also bring your boat up and have it moored so you can enjoy a nice summer dinner overlooking the lake. The food is ALL freshly made... Which means it takes a longer time to cook. The bread and salad come out at intervals to make the wait seem shorter. The sauce is a secret family recipe... And wow is it tasty! Don't forget to try the homemade tiramisu!!! The staff are sweet and genuine. You can't expect the staff - many seasonal - to be the service you'd get at a Michelin star restaurant. Still the people are nice and do a good job. Great food - probably one of the best you'll get dining out in the area - and fairly priced. For a great meal, go to Corleone!

  • Michael M.

There was a special event here with live music so they place was pretty crowded. A limited menu was provided for us since we were eating outside which I totally understand due to the large crowd. What was not acceptable was that they REFUSED to allow us to order off the kids menu for our two children. They said if we ate inside we could order that but not outside. Dumb. I'm not paying for a $15 bowl of spaghetti for my 3 year old! It's not like they weren't making things off the kids menu this night, they just chose not to serve it outside. We didn't order food, just drinks so they missed out on a large party bill over two orders of chicken strips.

Awesome food, friendly staff and good prices. I've been in lake Geneva for a while and I've seen many restaurants come and go and corleone should be here to stay. I have been here several times and have not been disappointed. I just wish they had a red sauce for the pasta. Anyways, great place to eat.

We went to Corleones over the weekend for a small family reunion. Our server was excellent. There was 12 of us including 4 small children. We were extremely impressed with the service and the food. The chicken piccata was properly seasoned and the pasta was cooked perfectly. The eggplant was a great meatless choice topped with their signature sauce which we asked for a side of it because we couldn't get enough. The kids shared cheese and pepperoni pizza and my husband had the bolognese pasta and sauce which he says it was exactly how his grandma used to make. Overall we were very please, the only reason why we didn't give it a five star was because of the mixed up with our drinks twice. We asked for a bottle and they served us a cab in a glasses. We were then told that they don't sell them in bottles, so we asked for individual glasses of Sauvignon blanc, cab and chianti. The server, not to his fault, comes back with the wrong wines again. If you don't know wine, maybe you wouldn't have noticed it, but we do know our wine. The bartender did not charge us for our wine which we were pleased. So besides this little hiccup we had a very pleasant experience! We are definitely coming back.

Loved the warm bread with oil and Parmesan, so tasty. The salad was okay, but I did like that fact the there was nice variety of greens. My entrée was Pollo Piccata which I enjoyed very much--tender chicken, flavorful sauce and al dente spaghetti. Look forward to sampling more menu options one day.

I almost gave this five stars for the comedic value of our dinner. The food tasted like a bad frozen entree, and the service was poor. The waiter claimed he could not bring waters to all of our group of six, only some of us, because a large party was hogging the glasses inside. He also greeted us by explaining they were short staffed, something about all of the high school girls who work there being off. He brought out the dinner salad to mix table side and left us with salads, forkless, for so long that we began to eat with our hands we were so hungry! Two of us ordered a caprese salad which never came. After a bit the Mosquitos became intolerable so we moved inside, only to realize there really were not as many people in there as the scattered service might suggest. The baked manicotti was basically inedible. The garlic spaghetti consisted of noodles sitting in burnt garlic oil soup. The French fries that came with the fish fry were the best menu item we had! At the end of the meal the waiter greeted us, dirty dishes in hand from a separate table, to see if we wanted dessert - no thank you! To top it off a bus boy boxed my friends meal and used his bare hands to fit a large amount of manicotti into a small box (they were out of larger boxes). Easily the worst dining experience from start to finish that I've ever had.

If you're in need of a good laugh, definitely check out Corleones! Usually I try to yelp new places before I go, but my friend wanted to go and our significant others were "staaaarrrvinggg". I had a feeling from the name alone that this one would be rough. I was excited when we walked in and I saw bread on the table. It was served with a hair-infused olive oil and uncut so we had to tear at it like zombies. The cocktail list was a list of 10 sugary varieties of limoncello, so I player it safe with a bottled beer. Then I threw the waiter (a 25 yr old disheveled Rob Thomas type) a major curveball when I asked for a glass of water. Apparently all the water glasses were being used by the small party inside. Understandable I suppose, as was the lack of silverware and napkins. The cursive on the menu was illegible, so we settled for the special: the Friday Fish Fry, a Wisconsin staple. A skillet of butter was served with a small hastily baked piece of Cod. Also ordered a Caprese (never came). I could go on about the dome of Eggplant Parm with an unidentifiable jizzy pink sauce, or the Manicotti that looked like it came up after a long night of drinking, but I won't. Because this is America, and America needs places like this.

Average food. Don't go for the food, go to sit out on the deck and look at the lovely view.

I almost never write Yelp reviews, but I was SO displeased with this place I had to say something. It's actually annoying that Yelp makes me give it a star. I've been coming to Lake Geneva for 20 years now, and in that time I've seen several restaurants come through this particular location (and have eaten at every one,) but this one is by far the worst. I'm honestly shocked they're still around after two years of what seems to be a consensus of poor service. (Aside from a couple of glowing reviews which I can only imagine are paid.) The food isn't what necessarily kills this place - I ate lunch and dinner here, but will never have a third meal until the restaurant inevitably becomes something else. The lunch was underwhelming, but I figured perhaps it was more of a dinner spot so I tried it again. That dinner, the food was alright, but was absolutely no exaggeration, the worst service I've ever had in my entire life. Our waitress was nice enough, but totally incompetent at her job. It was clear she hadn't been trained whatsoever (she forgot drinks, salads, one of the people in my party actually didn't end eating because she forgot to bring out her meal.) We complained to management who basically told us we were exaggerating (something that, even if we were being rude about it which we weren't, is not something you should ever say to a patron of your seasonal restaurant.) It's really such a shame because this is a great spot with great potential. I've seen it be so much more than what Corleone delivers.

I have been here several times now and the food is incredible, from the house dressing to Shrimp parmiggiano , it's all good. The decor is cute and seating is available outside or inside, or for a real treat, upstairs in the beautiful martini lounge. My favorite restaurant in Lake Geneva.

Just terrible. The service was extremely slow, especially for a Sunday afternoon with only two other tables filled. The staff kept making mistakes and blaming it on the fact that all of them spent the prior evening upstairs getting drunk in the speakeasy and they were all hung over. One the food arrived, I was shocked that the portions were so tiny, but after tasting it, I was glad they were as it tasted like one of those old frozen TV dinners gone bad. They could not get the order correct and came out several times to tell us that the chef made a mistake on the noodles, the food, etc. No compensation other than giving our friends extra booze (which is what they did NOT need) in an attempt to cover up for their poor quality cooking. Lake Geneva is such a great town and it is a pity that this place could single handedly ruin the reputation

Just happened upon this place as I was driving around the lake with a car full of hungry people. As one who does not like eating outside, it was a rare choice to sit outside. Unlike most of the reviews I read before writing this review, the service was top notch. I can down diet pepsi's like a mad man during a meal, my glass was never empty. Are table the ordered a variety of items and know no one had a complaint. I ordered their brusetta hamburger, even though I ordered it medium well, it was a little bit too juicy to suit me. Every bite into it needed a quick wipe with the napkin. The other thing that was weird was that the some of the diners choose the salad option over the potatoes, but the salad came out with the main course. That had a musician on the deck playing music and the volume was just right, you could hear the music and still hold a conversation. The only thing that was a nusence was the ocassional biker with no muffler blasting past the restuarant.

What a wonderful meal on Saturday evening. The person who took our reservation actually messed up and made it for 4:30 when the place doesn't technically open until 5:00pm. The owners opened up early to accommodate my family so we could get to our musical on time. We dined our some very scrumptious appetizers such as caprese salad and calamari. The house salad was wonderful and everyone loved their pasta dishes. Dessert was wonderful as well with Italian specialties of gelato and tisamisu. The service was spot on and our waitress and bus boy made sure we had plenty of water and bread. We will definitely be going back again. We always have a delightful meal with a wonderful view.

Went to eat here tonight at 8:45 pm. Place was half empty both inside and on the patio. The hostess said it would be a 20 minute wait because they only had two chefs. I've never seen this before. Maybe that's why this place went out of business twice before. I'm assuming the kitchen's run the same as the front of the house.

I completely agree with the other reviewers.. I would not even rate this place as a 1 star and believe that any of the other positive feedback (which is very few) has been paid! I too, like the other reviewers, have been going to Lake Geneva for the past 20 years. Each year one of my girlfriends plans the entire trip including our dinner locations. While she was very hesitant about this place as it was under new ownership about the quality of our dinner. We all said we wont know until we try so let's give it a go! What a mistake!! There was 6 of us in our party and had made reservations for outside well in advance. We waited about 20 minutes for our outside table. Could probably forgive that until they sat us at a table that was so small we would not have been able to fit our drinks on. As we walked outside, I noticed a much larger table and asked to be seated there. The hostess was very accommodating which was the only nice thing that occurred. Once seated, we waited about 10 minutes before our waiter approached the table only to walk away asking us to be patient as he was just seated another large group and would be back in 5 minutes. We then waited another 15 minutes before he even came back to the table and quickly ran away not to be seen for another 20 minutes. My other girlfriend got up from the table several times over the course of that 20 minutes to ask inside if they could get us some water. After the last attempt, another waiter came over and dropped off a single glass of water for a group of 6. So far you can tell that the service is a DISASTER. The food was appalling! I had ordered the Rigatoni Bolognese, the pasta was more than aldante and to the point of almost still crunchy from not being cooked. The sauce was very bland and cold. 2 other girlfriends ordered Melenzane Rollatini. After several bites, they both looked at each other and agreed that the dish was INEDIBLE. Much like the rest of reviewers, the drink menu looked great. My other girlfriend decided to order the Dirty Sicilian Martini.- Your choice of vodka or gin with olive juice shaken over fresh oregano and a hint of garlic, chilled and garnished with olives. My girlfriend asked for the "olive juice" to be served on the side. The waiter insisted that it was not made with olive juice and that it was made with giardiniera. She proceeded to order it as he insisted it was not with olive juice. Shocker when it came, it was with olive juice as the menu had indicated. When she stopped him to send it back, he RUDELY snapped at her and said ""I told u it wasn't olive juice!" when it WAS!!! Last but not least, we had to ask someone else for our check. We went inside to the bar to pay and had the nerve to put a mandatory tip on our bill for what has to be the WORST service we have ever experienced especially in a town in which depends on visitors. And if that was not BAD enough, my girlfriend who had ordered the INEDIBLE Melenzane Rollatini approached the male owner of the establishment. He was incredibly RUDE and LAUGHED at her when she expressed to him that her dinner was less than edible. Needless to say, we will NEVER go back and will recommend to everyone and anyone that will listen to AVOID THIS ESTABLISHMENT!!!!!!!!!

If I could give this place a 0, I would. We went to Corleone last night for a musical event out on the deck. We waited quite a while for a table, which was fine (especially since we had 8 people in our group). Once we were seated, we were told there was a limited menu out on the deck and there were no children's menu selections available. The waiter said that if we sat inside we could order children's food, but since we were outside it was absolutely not allowed. We asked him to talk to the manager about it, and he came outside and said the manager would not allow us to order off of the children's menu outside. If we moved inside we could though, which was close to the stupidest thing I've ever been told at a restaurant. We were there to see one of the performers and if we went inside we would have missed her. The hostess heard us talking about not being able to order food for my kids, so she went inside and got us a children's menu and told us it was fine. About 2 minutes later the waiter came back and said that the hostess was misinformed and that we would not be able to order children's food outside. This was beyond ridiculous. Finally at 8:45pm, I had some starving children so I asked to speak to the manager myself. The person we were there to see hadn't performed yet and we really didn't want to miss it as we live out of town and this was our only opportunity to see her. I explained that my kids were very hungry and felt like I had to beg him to let me buy my kids food to eat on the deck. I was the customer and I had to BEG this over-priced, poorly managed, absolutely ridiculous restaurant to allow ME to give THEM money for some food. Neither of my kids would have eaten any of the dishes they had to offer off of their limited outside menu, and I am also not about to spend $15 per plate on a 3 year old. The manager told me the reason they wouldn't allow children's food outside was because once 1 table saw children's food, everyone would want to order children's food for their kids. Um, duh, ya think? He also told me that he stopped allowing customers to order salads outside for the same reason, once someone saw a salad everyone wanted a salad. This is the stupidest reasoning I have ever heard, and the reason is because the restaurant wasn't prepared because of very poor management. So he decided it was a good idea to REDUCE his sales. I told the manager if I could order 2 chicken strip baskets for my kids, then all of the adults would order food as well. About 15 - 20 minutes later the waiter brought 2 baskets for my kids, but never came back to take the adults order. So they missed out on quite a large bill, at least $100 because of their terrible service. I realize that none of this was the waiter's fault, he was the unfortunate one that had to deliver the asinine rules from the manager, and I'm pretty sure the manager never told him that the adults were going to order food. Everyone at the table agreed that we will never go back to this place again. They are a place of business and we had to BEG them to PURCHASE food items from them. Absolutely terrible management.

I have been going to Lake Geneva since I was very little and there are some great places to eat...this is NOT one of them. I had one of the worst dining experiences ever at this place. First, they are completely understaffed and it took asking about 3 times just to get water. I understand that LG has a busy season, but there are many restaurants who are able to keep up so I just can't take that excuse. The atmosphere is dull and boring. I have been here for lunch and dinner and both experiences were bad, but dinner was the worst. They did not bring enough salad for everyone and after asking multiple time for more with no result, we had to split the small amount they did bring. I was with a group of 5 people and our dinner came out at staggered times. I was one of the last ones to get my meal and it was decent until I found a hair in it. I sent it back expecting to get another one, however it took them about 5 minutes to come back and ASK me if wanted another meal. It seemed odd that they wouldn't have just brought a new one immediately anyways. By that time everyone was finished so I said no...however they put my meal on the bill!!!!! I was shocked. So we had to send the bill back to be adjusted. We made a comment to the manager about how awful the service was, and he basically told us, it couldn't have been that bad..... Overall, I am sad to see such a great location go to waste with this restaurant and sadly, I will not be returning. Also...I had written a pervious post and it seems to have been deleted. Maybe to make room for what seems like paid reviews (see below).

I had high hopes for this place. The location can't be beat - it's directly across from Lake Geneva. There is a huge deck with just a street separating the restaurant from the lake with such a pretty view. However, no matter how pretty the atmosphere, it doesn't make up for service or food. First of all, I'm not sure all employees are properly trained. Case in point - we wanted to make reservations on a Friday night for their fish fry. When we called, we were told they would try to fit us in, so we went at 5:30. When we walked in, maybe 5 other tables were filled. Maybe. Clearly, there was no fish fry dinner rush. To me, that was nothing short of a red flag, as fish fry Fridays in WI are always busy at good restaurants. Also, service is slow. Like, really slow. We weren't checked on very often, and water glasses sat unfilled. Our server asked us if we wanted more bread, we said yes, then our server disappeared and we never saw that bread. The worst part to me though was the bug in my food. Yes, as I dug into my 3 pieces of fried cod, a weird looking bug appeared onto my fork. Gross. Did I say anything to my server or management? No, I didn't. Honestly, it wouldn't have mattered how they handled it, I still wouldn't want to go back. I did try to have some of their other food that was on a separate plate. The cole slaw was very vinegar-y and not at all creamy, so I didn't enjoy it much. I also thought the fries were rather soggy. I personally didn't like this place, but my parents did. I'm sure they will be back, but I won't be joining them.

This restaurant location has always struggled. We've been coming to lake Geneva for 15 years and the building is huge and location is tough. Every 1 or 2 years it's a different restaurant. Fine dining places have never made it but people keep trying. So we thought we'd give Coreleons a shot. The waiter was great, bus boys overly eager. The bartender was horrible, taking way to long to even realize they were out of the wine I ordered. I ordered spaghetti and meatballs. The meatballs were good. The rest was bland. My husband ordered veal piccata. He really liked it. Overall I was quite disappointed. I was very hopeful. The tiramisu was really great, but that came from a baker in Milwaukee. So I haven't seen a lot that impressed from the kitchen at Corleons.

Stopped at Corleone's during the Fat Tire Bike Crawl. They were the only bar out of the 12 involved selling bottled water. Talk about taking a customer for all. The outside patio are was filthy. The tablecloths were old, dirty and ripped. The garbage bags didn't fit the garbage cans and the cans were caked with old food from the night before. Disgusting. Won't be back anytime soon.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
